We started this year with almost zero growth from 2016 with massive effects from the WestConnex development rippling through our community. Although I work at the school I cannot begin to understand what it means for those who live here through this transformation. We are a small school and make big of this in... Read more

2018 Resource Allocation Model funding

In October 2017, all NSW public schools will receive a 2018 Planned School Budget Allocation Report. The report will assist with the management of the total budget delivered to schools through the Resource Allocation Model (RAM). The Resource Allocation Model (RAM) methodology distributes funding based on the individual needs of students and schools. This gives schools greater flexibility to make local decisions. Creating Opportunities

Our school is small but punches well above its weights when it comes to opportunities. Our children do not miss out on anything and benefit from the extra value attached to size. Over the past few years this has only increased, particularly in the performing arts and in sport. On Friday a selection of our stage 3 students participated in the Cantabile Concert held at Sydney Opera House. This is the first time that we have participated in the concert and it was well worth the wait. It was a spectacle and thrilling experience that won't be... Read more

Band

Join the Band!

In 2015 when I joined St Peters Public Schools, it was commented to me that one of the reasons parents did not want to come to the school was lack of musical opportunities. Some parents mentioned that while there were some musical opportunities, there was no dedicated music program such as many schools benefited from. Likewise others mentioned that there was no band program at St Peters. As I looked into how we could improve this situation, I made it part of our school plan to improve creative arts and sports opportunities for all students at... Read more
